Steps
- This is the terms-of-service and privacy-policy text you write and paste into the Advanced tab of your campaign (see Add custom terms and conditions) — guests see a link to it at login, and it's what they agree to by using your WiFi.
- It's separate from opt-in consent (the guest's explicit marketing-consent checkbox captured at login, see Opt-in form): terms cover acceptable use of the network, liability limits, and how you handle collected data, while opt-in consent is specifically about whether you can market to a guest afterward. See About compliance and consent for how the two work together.
- Typical content covers acceptable use, liability limitations, and how collected data is used — but the exact legal wording is yours to write or have reviewed by counsel; MyWiFi provides the mechanism (the editor and the login-screen link), not the legal text.
- If you serve guests in the EU, also review GDPR overview — GDPR compliance typically means having both a clear privacy policy and opt-in consent enabled together.
Note: this isn't legal advice. Have your terms and privacy policy reviewed by an attorney familiar with your jurisdiction, especially if you collect guest data across multiple states or countries.
