When clients/customers are retargeted on their smartphone, does it transfer to their home computer?

What you'll need

  • Nothing

Steps

  1. No — that's not something MyWiFi does or controls. Whether a guest logged in on their phone gets retargeted on their home computer depends entirely on your retargeting pixel — a tracking snippet that lets an ad platform later show ads to guests who logged in — and on that provider's own cross-device matching, the same as it would on any other website.
  2. MyWiFi's role ends at firing that pixel on your splash or thank-you page — what the ad platform does with it afterward is entirely the platform's own logic.
  3. If a guest is logged into the same Google or Facebook account on both their phone and home computer, that provider's cross-device targeting can connect the two — Meta and Google both offer this for logged-in users, so it's common with those two platforms specifically.
  4. See Which retargeting service do you recommend? for how to add a pixel via Add tracking code or Add custom HTML — installation is identical to any standard website, and cross-device behavior depends on the platform you choose, not on how you installed it.

Note: for the specifics of how cross-device matching works (accuracy, opt-outs, browser-vs-app limitations), check your chosen platform's own documentation — MyWiFi doesn't add or remove any device-linking capability beyond what the pixel provider already offers.
