What you'll need
- An account with access to the Messaging tab (owner/partner/reseller/MSP account types)
- A plan on Stripe billing if you want to use MyWiFi's managed SMS/WhatsApp numbers — Recurly accounts should keep using their existing Twilio connection on the Apps page instead
Steps
- Go to Account Settings (your name/avatar in the sidebar footer) and open the Messaging tab (
/user/editprofile#messaging). - The Twilio Connection card at the top shows whether an external Twilio account is connected via the Apps page. This is only needed if you plan to bring your own Twilio account — skip it if you'll use MyWiFi's managed numbers.
- The WhatsApp Sending Account card is where you set up the account credentials that send one-time login codes to guests over WhatsApp — managed by MyWiFi, or your own Twilio account. See Set up WhatsApp login.
- The Sender Numbers on this Account card lists every phone number registered, lets you rename them, set a default, and remove one. Each campaign then picks which registered number it sends from, from that campaign's login options.
Best practice: Messaging controls what sends (which number, which channel); the Apps page controls how it connects (your Twilio/SendGrid credentials, if you're bringing your own). Keep that distinction in mind when troubleshooting — a "not connected" message on Messaging usually means a credentials problem on Apps, not a Messaging setting.
