Bring your own Twilio account

What you'll need

  • A Growth plan or higher (BYO Twilio is not available on Starter/Connect)
  • Your own Twilio account with the credentials you'll connect on the Apps page

Steps

  1. Go to the Apps page and connect your Twilio account credentials.
  2. Go to Account SettingsMessaging (/user/editprofile#messaging). The Twilio Connection card at the top confirms the connection and shows which integration is linked.
  3. In the WhatsApp Sending Account card, find Bring your own Twilio account. This section only appears on Growth-and-up plans.
  4. Once Twilio shows connected, enter your sender number (E.164 format, e.g. +15551234567) and, if you have one, your Twilio-approved Content Template SID — then save. This registers a number on your own Twilio account instead of a MyWiFi-managed one.

Best practice: if you manage multiple client accounts as an agency, BYO Twilio keeps billing and number ownership on your own Twilio account rather than routed through MyWiFi's managed pool — useful if you already have Twilio infrastructure and compliance in place.
