What you'll need
- A Growth plan or higher (BYO Twilio is not available on Starter/Connect)
- Your own Twilio account with the credentials you'll connect on the Apps page
Steps
- Go to the Apps page and connect your Twilio account credentials.
- Go to Account Settings → Messaging (
/user/editprofile#messaging). The Twilio Connection card at the top confirms the connection and shows which integration is linked. - In the WhatsApp Sending Account card, find Bring your own Twilio account. This section only appears on Growth-and-up plans.
- Once Twilio shows connected, enter your sender number (E.164 format, e.g.
+15551234567) and, if you have one, your Twilio-approved Content Template SID — then save. This registers a number on your own Twilio account instead of a MyWiFi-managed one.
Best practice: if you manage multiple client accounts as an agency, BYO Twilio keeps billing and number ownership on your own Twilio account rather than routed through MyWiFi's managed pool — useful if you already have Twilio infrastructure and compliance in place.
