Location settings overview

What you'll need

  • A location already created

Steps

  1. Open a location and go to Settings — this is inside Location Center, a per-location workspace (its sidebar looks different from the main dashboard; use Back to Admin to return).
  2. Campaign Assignment — set the default campaign for this location, and schedule additional campaigns to switch to automatically later.
  3. Edit Location — rename the location and update its address.
  4. Session — set a session time limit, download/upload bandwidth throttles, and a daily bandwidth cap per guest; toggle a content filter that blocks adult/torrent/malware/darknet sites; and maintain a MAC-address whitelist for devices that should always get access.
  5. General — set the location's default portal language, and generate a WiFi QR code for the default campaign's SSID.

Best practice: Session Controls and Content Filter aren't compatible with every hardware vendor — if you turn one on and don't see it taking effect, check that your device type supports it before assuming it's misconfigured.
