If you flashed your new router with our firmware and received an error that says that the firmware flashing failed, something went wrong while installing the firmware.
Solution
First, make sure that your device is on our list of supported devices, as we can only support devices that have proven to be compatible with MyWiFi.
Once you have confirmed this, make sure that the firmware you are using to flash the device matches the model, version, and hardware number of your device. If it doesn't, please try re-flashing the device.
TIP: You can find the version/model/hardware number on the rear of your device.
Error: 18005 - Please check the file name
This error is most common with TP-Link devices, and reads:
This has two potential causes: either the wrong firmware was being used to install, or there is a location lock on the device issued by TP-Link. Please follow the steps above, and if it's still not working, contact support -- we'll be able to pinpoint the cause of the problem.
