Do repeat users have to log in on each visit?

What you'll need

  • Nothing

Steps

  1. No — not by default. Once a guest's device successfully logs in, MyWiFi recognizes it and grants access automatically on return visits without showing the splash page (the branded login page guests see) again, for a configurable window of time.
  2. That recognition window lives in your Location settings — a location is one physical venue in MyWiFi, with its own devices, campaigns, and guest data — so it isn't set per campaign. It applies the same way to every campaign running at that venue.
  3. A short window means guests re-see the splash page more often: more marketing touchpoints, but more friction. A long window means fewer logins and smoother repeat access, at the cost of fewer chances to re-capture data or show a new offer.
  4. If you need every visit to require a fresh login — for per-visit marketing capture, or paid access — shorten or disable the recognition window in Location settings.

Note: this is expected behavior, not a bug. If you notice returning guests skipping the splash page entirely, that's this recognition window working as designed — see Why are my returning guests skipping the campaign? for more detail.
