Aruba Networks cloud integration

Integrate your Aruba Networks devices with your MyWiFi account and enable your guests to connect to the internet while keeping full control of your access points within your Aruba account.

Required:

  • Active MyWiFi subscription
  • Active Aruba Networks subscription
  • Active location with an assigned campaign

Device setup

You will first need to retrieve the MAC address from your Aruba Central Control Panel for each device you want to add to MyWiFi.

  1. Log in to your Aruba Central Portal.
  2. Go to Access Points under Monitoring.
  3. Select the Access Point you want to add to MyWiFi and go to the Info tab.
  4. Copy the MAC Address -- you'll need it to set up your device in MyWiFi.
  5. Repeat these steps for each access point you want to add to MyWiFi.

 

 

MyWiFi setup

  1. Select Devices from the main menu.

  2. Click Add New Device.

  3. Select the Location, enter a Device Name, and choose Aruba.

  4. Enter the MAC Address of the access point that you found in your Aruba control panel.

  5. Click Proceed, and then review the information to make sure it's correct.

  6. Click Confirm Setup.

 

Aruba Central portal: edit access point configuration

  1. Log in to the Aruba Central portal.
  2. Navigate to Configuration, then to Select or Create a Group.
  3. Select a Network to configure.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select Guest as primary usage, then go to the Security tab.
  6. Configure your Splash Page:

    Splash Page Type: External

  7. Create a new captive portal profile by clicking the +.

    Enter this information:

    Name: MyWiFi
    Type: Radius Authentication
    IP or Hostname: securewifilogin.com 
    URL: /
    Port: 443
    Use HTTPS: checked
    Captive Portal Failure: Choose which option makes 
    Automatic URL Whitelisting: checked

    NOTE: If you have a Custom Social Portal Domain for your MyWiFi account, you must enter your Custom Social Portal URL in the UAM Settings >> Login URL instead of “https://securewifilogin.com”.



  8. Configure Mac Authentication:
    Mac Authentication: disabled

    Configure a Primary RADIUS Server with the following parameters:

    IP Address: 54.152.174.151
    Shared Key: mywifi
    Retype Key: mywifi
    RFC 3576: unchecked
    Accounting Port: 1813
    Timeout: 10
    Retry Count: 3
    Auth Port: 1812
  9. Click Save.

    Configure a Secondary RADIUS Server with the following parameters:

    IP Address: 54.87.147.144
    Shared Key: mywifi
    Retype Key: mywifi
    RFC 3576: unchecked
    Accounting Port: 1813
    Timeout: 10
    Retry Count:3
    Auth Port: 1812

  10. Click Save when ready.

 

Configure RADIUS accounting

  • Accounting Mode: Authentication
  • Accounting Interval: 1

Configure walled garden

It's Important

If you have a Custom Social Portal URL for your MyWiFi account, you must add it to the Walled Garden Whitelist in place of the *. acting as a placeholder in the first line of the list below.


Here is the complete list of domains that need to be whitelisted

Add this text block into your Whitelist to ensure your campaign and all your login apps are able to load properly. Remember to replace the first line with your custom social portal domain if you have one set up.

Click Save Settings.
