What you'll need
- At least one device added
Steps
- On the Devices list, filter by All, Active, Inactive, Online, Offline, or Never Connected — each tab shows a live count.
- Never Connected means the device has been added to MyWiFi but hasn't checked in yet — worth checking first if a newly-added device isn't showing traffic.
- Online/Offline is based on whether the device has recently checked in with MyWiFi, not a live ping you trigger yourself — there's no "test connection" button. If a device you know is powered on and working still shows Offline, give it a few minutes to check in again before troubleshooting further.
- If your hardware is managed through its own vendor cloud platform (rather than a self-reporting firmware device), also check that platform's own dashboard for connectivity — MyWiFi's status here reflects what MyWiFi itself has been told, which isn't always the same moment-to-moment picture as the vendor's own console.
Best practice: if a location has several devices and one shows Offline while the rest are fine, that's usually the individual AP, not your internet connection — check that specific device's power and network cable before assuming a wider outage.
