Go-live checklist

What you'll need

Steps

  1. Location — created, with the correct address and time zone (set per-location, not account-wide).
  2. Device — your access point or controller connected to MyWiFi, showing a status other than "Never Connected" on the Devices page.
  3. Campaign — your splash page built, with a login method configured (email, SMS, WhatsApp, social, free WiFi, or paid WiFi) and assigned to your location.
  4. Test the guest flow yourself — connect a device to your guest WiFi and confirm you see your actual splash page, not a default one, and that logging in actually grants internet access.
  5. Optional, but worth deciding before you're live at scale:
  • Messaging — set up SMS/WhatsApp login if you want it (see the Messaging category)
  • Billing — confirm you're on the plan you expect, with a payment method on file
  • Custom domain — if you want your own domain instead of MyWiFi's default, start that now — activation isn't instant (see Custom domain setup)

Best practice: step 4 — actually testing the guest flow on a real device — catches more real-world issues (walled-garden gaps, a wrong redirect URL, a device that isn't actually broadcasting the SSID you think it is) than reviewing the dashboard alone ever will.
