Set up Plasma Cloud with MyWiFi

What you'll need

• Admin access to the Plasma Cloud Console
• A MyWiFi location (one physical venue in MyWiFi, with its own devices, campaigns, and guest data) already created, so you have a splash page (the branded login page guests see) URL, a RADIUS (one of the standard protocols WiFi hardware uses to ask MyWiFi whether a guest may go online) shared secret, and a UAM secret to enter
• If you want Plasma Cloud to auto-provision SSIDs for you at scale with zero manual per-network setup, that requires becoming a Plasma Cloud Marketplace partner — a formal partnership agreement with Plasma Cloud, not something you can self-serve. Most installers should use the direct setup below instead.

Steps

1. In the Plasma Cloud Console, go to Settings > SSIDs, select your SSID (the WiFi network name guests see when connecting), and open the Captive Portal section — the captive portal is the mini-browser login window a guest's phone opens automatically when it joins the network.
2. Enter your MyWiFi splash page URL in the external splash page URL field.
3. Set a UAM secret that exactly matches the one configured on your MyWiFi portal for this location.
4. Point the SSID at a RADIUS server (MyWiFi's) on port 1812/1813 with the matching shared secret — Plasma Cloud forwards guest credentials there to grant access.
5. Make sure your MyWiFi portal domain is added to the SSID's walled garden (the short list of domains guests can reach before logging in) — the login endpoint runs on plain HTTP on the AP's local network, so the walled garden must explicitly allow guests to reach your portal before they've logged in.
6. In the MyWiFi dashboard, go to Devices and click Add Device.
7. Select the Location, name the device, and under Select Your Hardware choose Plasma Cloud.
8. Enter your Plasma Cloud connection details as prompted and save.

Best practice: double-check that the UAM secret matches character-for-character between Plasma Cloud and MyWiFi. A mismatched secret is the single most common cause of "guests reach the login page but can never actually get online" — the two sides silently fail to agree with no error message shown.
