Why do I need two different custom URLs?

Steps

1. MyWiFi has two independent custom-domain fields, because they serve two different audiences: a control panel domain (what you type in to reach your own dashboard) and a guest/social portal domain (what your guests see and connect through).
2. You can set up one, both, or neither — they're validated and saved separately, so setting up your control panel domain doesn't automatically set up your portal domain, and vice versa.
3. Each has its own CNAME to configure with your DNS provider — see Custom domain setup for the steps.

Best practice: if only one matters to your business (most owner-operators only care about the guest-facing portal domain, while resellers usually want both), it's fine to only set up the one you need — there's no requirement to configure both.
