Integrate your Ruckus ZoneDirector devices with your MyWiFi account and enable guest access capabilities.
Ruckus: access point(s) identification
- Log in to the Ruckus ZoneDirector dashboard.
- Go to the Monitor tab.
- For each access point you want to set up with MyWiFi, copy the Device MAC address.
MyWiFi setup
- Log in to your MyWiFi dashboard.
- Select Devices.
- Click Add New Device.
- Select the Location, enter a Device Name, and choose Ruckus.
- Enter the MAC address for one of the access points you want to add to MyWiFi.
- Click Proceed and confirm the information is correct.
- Click Confirm Setup.
- Repeat this process for each access point.
Ruckus ZoneDirector setup
- Log in to the Ruckus ZoneDirector dashboard.
- Go to the Configure tab.
- Click on AAA Servers in the main menu.
- Click Create New.
Configure RADIUS authentication
Set up your server details using these guidelines:
- Name: mywifi
- Type: RADIUS
- Auth Method: PAP
- Backup RADIUS: check "Enable Backup RADIUS support"
Your first server should have these parameters:
- IP Address: 107.22.120.146
- Port: 1812
- Secret: mywifi
Your second server should have these parameters:
- IP Address: 54.87.147.144
- Port: 1812
- Secret: mywifi
Click OK to save your configuration.
- Click Create New under the Authentication / Accounting Servers heading.
Configure RADIUS accounting
Set up your server details using these guidelines:
- Name: mywifi-acct
- Type: RADIUS Accounting
- Backup RADIUS: check "Enable Backup RADIUS support"
Your first server should have these parameters:
- IP Address: 107.22.120.146
- Port: 1813
- Secret: mywifi
Your second server should have these parameters:
- IP Address: 54.87.147.144
- Port: 1813
- Secret: mywifi
Click OK to save your configuration.
Create a new Captive Portal Profile
- Click HotSpot Services.
- Click Create New.
- Create a new captive portal with these parameters:
Name: MyWiFi
WisPr Smart Client Support: None
Login Page: Your custom social portal URL. If you don't have one, use https://securewifilogin.com.
Start Page: redirect to the URL that the user intends to visit.
Session Timeout: leave unchecked for unlimited sessions, or check and enter a desired timeout length
Authentication Server: select the AAA RADIUS Authentication server you created earlier
Accounting Server: select the AAA RADIUS Accounting server you created earlier - Click Walled Garden.
You will need to enter this list of domains into the whitelist so that they will be able to authenticate with your campaign. Each domain needs to be entered individually. Here is the full list that you must whitelist:

Click OK.
WLAN configuration
- Click on WLANs in the main menu.
- Click Create New.
- Create a new WLAN with these parameters:
- Name: MyWiFi
- ESSID: the SSID you wish to broadcast as your guest wireless network name
- Type: Hotspot Service (WISPr)
- Authentication Options - Method: Open
- Encryption Options - Method: None
- Options - Hotspot Service: select the Hotspot Service you previously created
- Priority: High
- Click OK.
WLAN groups configuration
- Click Create New under WLAN Groups.
The Ruckus ZoneDirector configuration is now complete. You must now apply the configuration to the Ruckus access points that you have already added to MyWiFi.
Apply Configuration to Access Point(s)
- Go to the Monitor tab.
- Locate the access points that you previously entered into MyWiFi and click the Edit icon.
- Check "Override Group Config" next to WLAN Group and select your MyWiFi WLAN group.
Access point changes
If you make changes to your access points or need to have multiple access points for this network, make sure to keep the list of access points up to date in the Devices section of your MyWiFi dashboard.
