Paid WiFi charges guests for internet access using a Credit Card login option, instead of — or alongside — a free method.
What you'll need
- A campaign in the builder, with a payment gateway connected (see Billing & Plans > Payment Gateway Integrations)
Steps
- Open the Login tab.
- Enable Credit Card as a login option.
- Configure pricing and session duration for paid access in the option's setup panel.
- Save your campaign.
How it works
Paid WiFi works best as an upgrade tier layered alongside a free login method, not as your only option on the splash page. Guests who don't want to pay can still connect for free, while guests who want a premium connection can opt in. See When should I use paid WiFi? for the full breakdown of when to reach for each approach.
Best practice: paid WiFi works best in venues where guests expect to pay for premium connectivity (hotels, transit hubs) — pairing it as the only option in a retail or restaurant setting tends to suppress connections. See When should I use paid WiFi?.
