Set up Cradlepoint NetCloud with MyWiFi

What you'll need

• Admin access to NetCloud Manager (NCM) for your Cradlepoint routers
• The MyWiFi RADIUS server IP and shared secret from your MyWiFi device registration screen
• Optional, for provisioning many routers at once: NCM API keys and a Cradlepoint developer account

Steps

1. In NetCloud Manager, open each router's Local IP Networks settings and set Hotspot Mode to RADIUS/UAM on the LAN you want to use for guest WiFi (typically the Guest LAN).
2. In the UAM Settings section, paste your MyWiFi splash page URL into the Login URL field. If you want this leg to run over HTTPS, append &proto=https — this requires an SSL certificate installed on the router.
3. In the RADIUS Settings section, enter MyWiFi's RADIUS server IP as Server Address 1, set Auth Port to 1812 and Accounting Port to 1813, and enter the shared secret MyWiFi provided. Set the NAS/Gateway ID to the router's MAC address.
4. Add all MyWiFi portal domains to the Allowed Hosts Prior to Authentication (walled garden) list — without this, guests can't reach your splash page before they've logged in.
5. Save and Commit your changes in NCM.
6. In the MyWiFi dashboard, go to Devices and click Add Device.
7. Select the Location, name the device, and under Select Your Hardware choose Cradlepoint NetCloud.
8. Enter your Cradlepoint connection details as prompted and save.

Best practice: After a guest logs in, MyWiFi hands them back to the router's local UAM port (8000 by default) to finish granting access — this is a direct connection from the guest's browser to the router, not a cloud call. Make sure that port isn't blocked by any firewall between your guest network and the router, or login will silently fail at the last step.
