Why can't I hide negative reviews?

What you'll need

  • The Reputation Engine add-on enabled

Steps

  1. MyWiFi doesn't offer a setting that routes guests to a public review only if they're likely to leave a positive one — every guest sent a review request sees both the public-review link and the private-feedback option, side by side, regardless of anything about their visit.
  2. This is intentional, not a missing feature. Rating-gating (showing the public review link only to guests predicted to leave a good review, and quietly diverting others to a private form) is a practice Google and the FTC treat as a deceptive/banned dark pattern for review platforms.
  3. If a guest has a bad experience, use the private feedback inbox to follow up directly — see Respond to private feedback — rather than looking for a way to prevent the review itself.

Best practice: the fastest way to improve your public rating isn't hiding negative reviews — it's fixing what they're about and following up with the guest who left one.
