What you'll need
- Nothing — this is informational
Steps
- Each plan includes a set number of locations and devices:
| Plan | Locations included | Devices included | |---|---|---| | Starter | 1 | 5 | | Connect | 5 | 15 | | Growth | 20 | 60 | | Scale | 100 | 200 | | Summit | 250 | 400 |
- Going over your included amount doesn't hard-block you from adding more, in most cases — you're allowed to exceed the included count, and the extra usage is billed as metered overage in arrears (charged after the fact, not upfront).
- The one case where you are blocked: a Stripe-billed account with no active subscription. If your subscription has lapsed, you'll need to reactivate it before adding more locations or devices.
- If you're not sure which case applies to you, try adding the location or device — if you're blocked, the error will tell you your subscription needs attention rather than that you've hit a limit.
Best practice: if you're consistently running over your plan's included amount, it's usually cheaper to upgrade to the next plan tier than to keep paying metered overage — check your Billing tab's usage history to see which makes sense for you.
