Ontraport integration

Ontraport and MyWiFi

Integrate your Ontraport account with MyWiFi so that you can keep your Ontraport CRM and marketing campaigns up-to-date with all your guest data!

Required:

  • Active subscription with Ontraport with existing campaigns.
  • Active Pro or higher MyWiFi subscription.
  • A location with an associated campaign.

Ontraport setup

You will first need to log in to your Ontraport account and find your Ontraport API ID and API key.

  1. Click your Profile icon in the top right corner, then select Administration within the drop-down menu.
  2. Select INTEGRATIONS
  3. Select ONTRAPORT API INSTRUCTIONS AND KEY MANAGER
  4. Click New API Key.
  5. Choose a name for your Ontraport API key, choose your Contact Owner if there are multiple Ontraport users, and then enable all permissions. Click Save.

  6. Copy your API ID and API Key.

Ontraport integration

Now that you have your Ontraport API ID and API Key you can integrate Ontraport as an app.

  1. Log in to your MyWiFi dashboard.

  2. Select Apps from the main menu.

  3. Click Add New App.

  4. Select CRM.

  5. Select Ontraport

  6. Choose a Name for your new app and enter your API ID and API Key that you got from Ontraport above.

  7. Click Proceed.

Ontraport automation

Now that your Ontraport account has been integrated with MyWiFi as an app, you can add an automation to make use of that data!

  1.  Select Automation from the main menu.

  2. Click Add New Automation.

  3. Decide on an Automation Name, and select the Location and Campaign this automation is for. 
  4. Click Proceed.

  5. Choose a trigger -- we suggest Connect. This will trigger the automation every time a guest connects to the WiFi.

  6. Choose a delay -- We suggest Real Time, so that your automation will trigger immediately.

  7. Choose a send frequency -- we suggest Always to keep your information as up-to-date as possible.

  8. Select Ontraport.

  9. Select your Ontraport app, then select a List within Ontraport that you want to add your customer information to.
  10. Click Proceed.

Error No List/Campaign found

If you receive the following error message, you'll need to create a new campaign within Ontraport. Once you have, you will be able to make a selection and continue.
