Twilio SMS Login App

SMS login sends guests a one-time passcode (OTP) by text — they enter their phone number, get the code, type it in, and they're online.

What you'll need

  • An SMS-capable sending number (managed by MyWiFi, or your own Twilio account on Growth plans and up)

Steps

  1. Open the Login tab and enable SMS. Login tab, SMS option with Setup button
  2. Click Setup next to SMS to choose or configure the sending number for this campaign — MyWiFi's Messaging tab now handles number selection and multi-number assignment (see Messaging category).
  3. On Growth plans and up, you can connect BYO Twilio — your own Twilio account, so sending runs and bills under your account instead of MyWiFi's managed pool.
  4. Guests enter their phone number and receive a one-time passcode by text to get online.
  5. Save your campaign.

Best practice: every OTP text sent by MyWiFi automatically includes carrier-required opt-out language — you don't need to add this yourself. See A2P 10DLC — the mandatory US carrier vetting of your business before it may send SMS — in the Messaging category for background on why this exists.
