PunchCard Integration

PunchCards and MyWiFi

Integrate PunchCards (formerly known as MobiPunch) with MyWiFi and automatically send your guest data to your PunchCards loyalty program, and then send your guests a personalized email with a link to download a punch card.

Required:

  • Active subscription with MobiPunch
  • Active Pro or higher MyWiFi subscription.
  • A location with an associated campaign.

PunchCards setup

You will first need to log in to your PunchCards account and retrieve your API key.

  1. Click your Profile Name located in the top right corner, then select Settings from the drop-down menu.

  2. Go to the Developer tab and copy your API Key


PunchCards integration

Now that you have your PunchCards API key you can integrate PunchCards as an app in MyWiFi.

  1. Log in to your MyWiFi dashboard.

  2. Click Apps in the main menu.

  3. Click Add New App.

  4. Select Loyalty.

  5. Select PunchCards

  6. Choose an App Name, and enter your API key that you found in PunchCards above.

  7. Click Proceed.

PunchCards automation

Now that your PunchCards account has been integrated with MyWiFi, you can create an automation and make use of that data!

  1.  Select Automation in the main menu.

  2. Click Add New Automation.

  3. Decide on an Automation Name, and select the Location and Campaign this automation is for. 
  4. Click Proceed.

  5. Choose a trigger -- we suggest Connect. This will trigger the automation every time a guest connects to the WiFi.

  6. Choose a delay -- We suggest Real Time, so that your automation will trigger immediately.

  7. Choose a send frequency -- we suggest Always to keep your information as up-to-date as possible.

  8. Select PunchCards.

  9. Choose what loyalty card you want to send, then click Proceed.

No List/Campaign Error

If you receive this error, double-check the API key you entered when creating your app -- that is the most common cause of this error!
