Limit bandwidth and session times

By limiting the bandwidth and session times, you can prevent users from abusing the WiFi -- or simply limit the amount that a user may download or stay connected for. This helps you provide quality WiFi service without compromising browsing speeds for all of your guests.

  1. Select Locations from the main menu.

  2. Find your location, then click the settings icon.

  3. Go to the Session tab.

  4. Use the toggles to control the session time limit, maximum download or upload bandwidth, or set a daily bandwidth cap.
  5. Use the sliders to set a limit for session times or bandwidth usage. Once a guest reaches their session time limit or daily bandwidth cap, they will be logged off from the network and they will only be able to log in into the network again after 24 hours. We recommend a minimum of 5 Mbps for bandwidth limits.
